Privacy Policy — Mind Map Duel

Effective: June 13, 2026 · App Architects Abroad

Mind Map Duel is designed with privacy as a default. Almost all game processing happens entirely on your device — no words you type are sent to a server, no account is required to play, and the core game works fully offline.

What We Never Collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, or any personally identifying information. No account is required.

The words you type during gameplay are validated entirely on-device using an offline model. They are never transmitted to any server.

The leaderboard player ID is a randomly generated anonymous UUID created on your device. It cannot be used to identify you. Users who indicate they are under 13 do not submit any leaderboard data at all.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

  • Google AdMob — Serves banner ads on the free tier. May collect advertising identifiers.
  • RevenueCat — Manages in-app purchases and subscription status.
  • Supabase — Stores optional leaderboard scores. Anonymous data only.
  • PostHog — Anonymized analytics to measure retention and game engagement.

Advertising

The free version of Mind Map Duel displays banner ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device’s advertising identifier to show relevant ads. You can limit ad tracking in your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads). For users who indicate they are under 13, ads are served using Google AdMob’s child-directed treatment, which restricts ad content and limits the use of advertising identifiers.

Purchasing the Mind Map Duel Pro upgrade ($2.99) removes all ads. Once purchased, AdMob is not loaded and no advertising identifier is accessed.

Children’s Privacy

Mind Map Duel is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under the age of 13.

On first launch, the app asks for your age range. If you indicate you are under 13, the app does not submit any data to the leaderboard — no score, display name, or device information is sent to our servers. The full game remains playable, and the leaderboard remains viewable, but participation in it is disabled. Advertising for these users is configured for child-directed treatment in accordance with Google AdMob’s COPPA settings.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through this app, please contact us.

Data Retention & Deletion

On-device data (game progress, streak, display name, notification preferences) can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the app.

Leaderboard data submitted to Supabase is retained for 90 days and then deleted. To request early deletion of your leaderboard data, contact us with your anonymous player ID (found in the app’s Profile screen) and we will remove it.

Purchase records are retained by RevenueCat as required for receipt validation. Refer to RevenueCat’s privacy policy for their retention schedule.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy law (including GDPR, CCPA, and similar regulations) to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you. Because we collect minimal data and the majority is stored only on your device, most requests can be fulfilled by uninstalling the app.

For any data held by third-party services, please contact those services directly using the links above.

For leaderboard data deletion or any other privacy requests, contact us at the address below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted with a revised effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
